    Hi,

I found a website in my niche I can advertise on it for $50 a month. Isn't there a way to know how much traffic they're getting (apart from asking them for screenshots)?

How do you do it? Do you just use a tracking link and try and see what happens if it does not work you wasted money?

    Thanks,
    Jack

I would ask them to take screenshots, it's the only definitive source of information.

You can use Alexa.com to gauge the traffic.

Ask them for screenshots, along with checking them out on Alexa.com this site is very good to see how much traffic / information about a website. Also its worth value.

Ask them to set you up as read only in their google Analytics account. All you need is a gmail email address, they just go into analytics, add your email, which sends you an invitation. You click on the link and it opens up their google analytics and gives you read-only access. Here you can see the traffic they are receiving.

Read only access to analytics is definitely the way to go here and should be accepted immediately unless they have something to hide ;).

Yep, read only GA is the best and most trustable way - they should provide these details to ad buyers, they should know the details - if not be wary

Well you can use alexa ranking just type there site in there and it will give you an idea! the thig is that can be wrong! Your best bet is to just ask them for a screenshot if you are in an awkward place to ask then open another email and do it on that one!

    Hope this helped

Also yeah buy sell ads is a great way to get ad space and sell ad space

If it's $50 a month, I would suspect they'd be less than willing to let you boss them around, just not worth the trouble.

It's a take it or leave it type of deal.

Yea you just use a tracking link it's pretty simple from what I hear. Never done it myself but it's supposedly really easy to track and test your campaigns. Good luck! :)
