Advice needed : What kind of website should I make on Mobiles ?

Hi,

I am looking to make a good site on mobiles to earn some consistent money. I am good in symbian and J2ME programming but making and selling mobile software doesn't make much sense as I will not be able to make really good product alone.

How about being a affilate or something similar! Though I can easily make a site on my own but I won't mine spending money on making it really good. My budget is around USD $150. Any ideas and help will be highly appreciated.

I'm not really familiar with creating a site on Mobile software but the first thing I would do is carefully study the competition to see if there is an opening you can exploit and add to my advantage.

Also, if you are a programmer have you considered doing freelance work for other webmasters/client along with building your own site to make additional money?

 

ya actually I do freelance work but the problem with freelancing programming is that you have deadlines to achieve(I can not do freelance fulltime, I only do it as a hobby and to earn some cash).

I want to have my own site where I can earn little but steady cash flow(It also allows better time management as compared to freelance work).I am looking to provide some kind of "service" which can help mobile users or may be I can sell/promote other people's stuff/services. I am not sure...

 

In the gold rush days, there were two types of people who made a ton of money. The first type of person was the miner who hoped to find the gold, and the few that did prospered. The second type of person sold picks, shovels, and pans to the miners... and every miner needed them.

In this case, it sounds like you have the same choice. Build a site for mobile phones, or create the tools so that others can build their own sites. Either way has risks and rewards.

 

You posted a very good analogy. I find it prosperous to do a little of both.

 

It all takes time and effort. No easy money these days.

I used to run a mobile unlocking business on the web but don't do unlocking anymore so I have a spare gsm domain if you are in need of it.
