advice please regardin my website

Hi Guys this is my first attempt at building a website. And it is failing bad is there anyway I can improve it.? It has been on line about 4 months and had 3000 plus viewers but they I suspect are friends and family. Everybody starts with 0 impressions and 0$ per day. Right now I think you should concentrate more on writting good stuff and doing search engine optimisation

I found this in your footer, saying "my free website" is giving the impression that your site is hosted on a free plan, which makes it look unprofessional. If you mean readers can advertise for free on your website you should go with something like "If you wish to advertise on my website for free.

Getting a more sophisticated design would be my next advice, maybe even switch to a CMS, a better one...like Wordpress. It will make writing articles better, getting crawled by SE's easier and intergrating Adsense much simpler.

For a simple, easy change, try moving your ad unit to the left side of the page (underneath your navigation links). However, I would have to agree with others and say that your site could benefit from a full makeover.

 

Hey I checked your source and I can't find any description or keyword entries? I did a search on nichebot for you, and "travel wales" and "wales travel" are not terms that are searched for much, and you have a TON of competition! However, "england travel" has an amazing ratio (.21). So you should go after england travel as your keywords, start by posting in this forum and travel forums with an anchor link containing those words. Start submitting articles about travelling in england to article sites as soon as possible! Then start to look for something interesting or funny about the area you are promoting. Maybe there is a funny or unusual tourist attraction in your area? (For example, a city near where I live in ontario is known for nickel mining. When you drive into the city they have a GIANT nickel sculpture, about 50 feet tall) Then create a page about the attraction (in my example, i would call the link "worlds largest nickel") and submit the link to reddit, and or any of the other 100's of bookmarking sites out there. You will immediatley start getting hits. And if people think the link is really interesting, you'll get thousands of hits! If this helps you, throw me some green rep love! Later gater!

 

your intergration aint bad, but the overall design is poor, white on purple (or blue, sorry i'm color blind, can't tell the background color) hurts the eyes

as said above try to put some ads withing content, and get rid of the border
