Advise Please Promoting a social network like site

Hi,
The site is http://www.tophang.com . Please advise on how I can get some members to sign up here... I can spend $200 on promotion as well. Should I run a contest, spend it on ads (adwords etc), or what.

Hi, First of all...make it more inviting...first impression is very important...it could be a simple layout.

- Write an article and post it on article directories
- Send out a Press Release
- Have a Blog do a review about your website.

I think contest is a good way to go. but first add some content and members.

 

You need to work on ur site. I have seen it. It's not looking attractive and not able to impress visitors. First make your site attractive and gud looking. Take idea from other social networking sites. Start some activity on ur site with the help ur frnds. After that u cud promote ur site. There are hundreds of ways of promotion Once u r able to make ur site attractive than i am sure it wud get members easily bcoz there are lots of ways.............

 

• make sure your website is easy to understand. or prepare something to educate that.
• get member.
• make member get member special(bonuses or something equal)
• target your market.
• make your site unique.
• word of mouth marketing.
