If the income is right, $5000 or so isn't too bad for it.

You're probably better off without that site. I don't recall when the last time I saw a decent site for sale on Ebay, seems they're all scams.

This is huge scam. Who ever wins it will find there is little to no traffic and no sales. Or the sellers will run some hits to the site via proxies. Either way, the buyer will make back none of the $8,000. (projected final price).

It is really too bad to see webmasters ripping off other webmasters like this.

Ned could be right. The site is an exact copy of:

    http://www.php-mysql-perl.com/

And gets a link from the bottom of the site as well; where it probably gets its PR from too.

I am skeptical too. It says it's getting all it's traffic from Google, yet if you do some of the obvious searches on Google (ASP scripts, PHP scripts, etc.) the site doesn't come up.

This is probably very difficult to do anything about because they are selling you the site, which they give you. The traffic is implied, but it's tough to say if that's actually part of the auction.

Plus, the seller could always claim that it was getting that much traffic and it must have been something the buyer did.

He is supposed to be sending me a screen shot of the search engine referrals soon...The traffic may not be genuine, but I was willing to give him a shot...good deal at $400 :)

The item description is also very vague and looks very unprofessional. It looks liek it was done by someone who has never used ebay before. Also, ther are two guys with 1 or 0 feedback placing a ton of bids. As the old saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted.

It may be the site seller trying to drive the bid prices up. I can't believe that price. Definately a scam....that's too bad

What's the deal with eBay these days? It seems like nothings legit. I've been looking for a car these days on AutoTrader.com and all I get is scam artists trying to tell me their son is having open heart surgery and want to sell me their brand new Ford F150 for only $8,000. Ridiculous -
