    Funny, although unbelievable!

I happened to be denied onboard a bus recently because I only had a 10 pound note and was the first one to be picked up, but I wasn't offered any alternative ways of payment (luckily, as it would NOT have been very pleasant!)

The bus driver wouldn't let you ride around until he had enough change?

On the Boston T I was allowed to ride free having just arrived from abroad with a 100 dollar bill, and that happened two or three times in the last few years (not always my own fault:) ), but in England, at least in my area, London and around, they won't let you on if you don't have the exact fare and they don't have enough change.

    Anyway it was a woman (;) )

What a bargain! Technically though you wont be riding the bus.. but rather the bus-driver.

I laugh at any culture that accepts ass for toll.

I still chuckle anytime I see a bumpersticker with the phrase "Gas, grass, cash, or ass. No one rides for free."

    :D

No thanks, it was an old-fat-rude lady, I actually walked 35 minutes, and saved £1.60, seeing it that way, it wasn't that bad after all!

But I find Mella's pic so incredible, I whish I could go check if it's really there (NOT if they really accept such a payment!:D )
