    Hi, guys,

I'm looking for a free image editor. If anyone can give me some suggestions as to which free image editor is the best, I would be very grateful. I basically need it to compose text- and graphics-based images for my web site.

There is Paint.NET or THE GIMP or GIMPshop. Take your pick.

Thanks for the help, guys. :) I think it's going to have to be GIMP or GIMPShop. However, Paint.net looks good, too.

HAHAHA I like plepco, Glad he's honest. I have Photoshop CS3 and obviously photoshops poop does not stink, but if arent in a position to buy photoshop and you are on a PC, id say Gimp as well. Here's where my post isnt a mooch to get another number by my name... Gimp on a Mac opened up for me as X11 and i was not able to do very much at all with it because i couldnt get to normal menu's. My partner on the other hand was able to do gimp just fine, so I guess its not made with Mac at the top of the list, although it should. Try your luck.
