Animated GIF questions

Discussion in 'Photoshop' started by jg123, Mar 6, 2007.

Ok, I have been able to make some nice animated gif's with PS and IR, my question is: Can I make an animated gif with those two programs that has multiple links on it? For example see the attached, can I make it so there is a map on the image to click for polls, forum page etc...?

I could only upload the non-animated version.

    thanks

You won't be able to do that with an animated GIF.
I suggest flash or a java applet...way better...

I do have flash 8 and have tried to get started learning it but I seem to always have trouble. Can you import something from photoshop to flash and animate it there sort of like using image ready?

For the record an image (ie a gif, jpg or png) is just that. There is nothing active or interactive about them. The link is added through html place around the image.

Thanks sarahk I guess that is where my hope was concerning an animated gif, there is obviously code 'animating' it so I was hoping there was a way to place links on it.

So if I import an animated gif to flash can it convert it somehow and then I can add hot spots (if that is what they are called) for links?
