Anonymous emailing

I received a strange email with an enquiry and I want to reply but without giving out any of my exact email addresses.

I know that they must have it already if I got the message, but they could just have tried a few obvious ones. The one on the website is actually encrypted, but it does show to humans, it shouldn't to robots.

I know, it's prob being a little paranoid, nevertheless I would like to know such an option as sending an email as close as totally anonymous as possible.

PM me if you don't want to make it public, but there prob are paid or free services out there, I just found paid ones and I would rather evaluate other options.

I could set up a free email account and then forget it, but are there other ways?

    Thanks!:)

I'd say use a free email service with a proxy to mask your IP if thats important. The thing is with many of web-based email senders is that it might get blocked because that proxy is blocked by a blacklist and it will go straight to the Junk folder if they emailed you from a webbased account. Other then that if they dont use spamassassin with ip checks you should be fine.

    Thanks INV!

A free email is the last resort though, I was rather looking at a remailer or something.

The proxy tip is a good idea I forgot about, thanks!

Thanks Sarah, very kind of you...

Although I don't like the name of the service, maybe it's what I need after all.

I'll have a look and let you know.

    Thanks again!
