    i think you need header ? use photoshop ( banners/headers can be made) or fireworks its avail for trial , but i dont know how good you are @ it. anway just answering what you where looking for.

    photoshop ain't free, but there is a fantastic free photoshop wannabee software called gimp! i think it's available at gimp.com, if not google it. But It is a piece of free software so you might want to check it out! Good luck!

    Yeah, download the fireworks trial. It may be more advanced than you need, but it's fun to learn.

    If there was an automated banner creator the software would be really lame and the banner quality and design would suck!
