    Hello all,

I own a website - its got flash games and videos, aswell as phone stuff (ringtones, logos)

It is really new - only a few weeks old.

I just wanted to know if its worth paying to get this going. - (Advice please if it is!)

There are so many sites like mine; k*llsometime, un*riginal, m*niclip -- not to mention all the other clones and sole games sites. Is there any room for 1 more in this market -- enough room to make $** or $*** a day in adsense???

If anyone with a games site would like to PM or show thier site or give any info that they are happly making money from a site in this area, that would really help.

    Regards all.

    Many thanks.

If you market it on MySpace with links back to your site, put YPN ads up at the top and arcade images next to the ads.... evidently, yes, there is still money to be made.

I havent delved in to games websites, but the general idea I get from reading around forums is that it is possible, but getting quite difficult. You may need to try find a different angle of attack on the gaming market to succeed.

At least in my experience, games related Adsense clicks in general are some of the lowest paying I've seen. But there's definitely enough gaming traffic out there to make it up in volume. I'd recommend to go all out or nothing at all. Don't spend a decent amount of money to just get OK rankings as you will probably lose money there.

    Thanks guys,

    Great advice so far.

So there is money (not a lot), but only if i really push my site.

I'm going to submit my site to all the free directories listed on here - set up a MySpace account and plug my site.

What do you think is about the right amount to spend on advertising (buying high pr links, etc)

Also, are ringtones/phone realted adsense links any better paying - i can easily target them more if they pay better then games.

    Regards,

I have a games site, a few months ago i took adsense off just to get out of smart pricing.
Gaming is terrible for making big money (IMHO).

As said before, clicks are VERY low paying for these sites. Like in the .01-.05 range. If I had not already invested a lot of time in mine, I would not start a new one now. There are other easier sites to start that will make a much better return.

so far i've made $10 from 100 clicks on my site - but my site has been going sinse sept last year)

Its been an every night event - adding to it, changing, working - im actually getting sick of it lol. But its only just got to the stage where i would like it to become well known. So when i say its only a few weeks old in my first post, its only been finished a few weeks - im now ready to start spening money on it to get it going - if its worth it.

I just needed to know really if the amount you can make, outweighs what you need to spend getting things running.

I've worked on it for so long now, i dont even care if it makes LOADS of money, just enough to cover its own a$$. :p

Thanks again guys, You've been very helpful.

I'll let everyone know how i get on!!! :D

    Regards.
