Any penalty for flooding the title with KWs?

What is the optimal number of KWs that should be in a title (3,4...MAX?), and can titles be too long? (from an SEO perspective)

I searched the forum but could not find an answer.

Just bear in mind that the more KW's in the title, the less each one is weighted. Better to be less and more on target than flood the title. If you have that many, you should create additional pages with the other Kw's in the titles.

    I would suggest 3 KW in title. ( inspired from seo-guy " <title>A maximum of 3 keyword phrases and 55 characters</title>" )
