Has anyone had any success getting people to join your home based business or getting sales using Myspace?

I don't know anyone who uses Myspace anymore. I haven't been there in almost a year. I think most people have moved to Facebook. Especially not the kind of people you're looking for. Try starting a group on FB.

70,000,000+ Active profiles and the #3 Ranked site in the USA is not dead. =)

If MySpace Members like what you have to offer, then the conversions are there.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been able to get over 140,000 ACTIVE members to my website SupremeAdds.com in just under 1.3 years, and growth is steady.

Please, Don't believe that "MySpace is Dead" crap!!!

MySpace users have been spammed to death - and the usual tactics of posting a comment or bulletin and hoping for conversions is like "beating a dead horse".

It takes a little more creativity.

I'd go with both for now Sohoentrepreneur, Use MySpace and Start that FaceBook Group.

I'd even poke around on the smaller networks like MyYearBook and Tagged, Bebo, Hi5 - any of them are still a very good source of ALL demographics =)

    Best of Luck to you
    Chuck

I never said it was dead. I said I personally don't know anyone who uses it daily like people use Facebook daily. All of my friends from MySpace have migrated to Facebook in the last year. I'll say it now though. It's dead. It's a frog in boiling water.

Does 70 Million people trying to sell things to each other constitute active users? Oh, you said profiles, NOT users. Do profiles buy things? I see you're promoting Myspace Profile Adder, so you're not biased or anything. For your site MySpace still produces results and that's great, but for promoting a home based business and making actual sales, that's a different story.

It's all about the amount of time you'd have to invest in order to get conversions, and whether you'd get a good ROI for that time.

    lmao......

    :D

None of my post was directed at you RustyRoof - since I was talking DIRECTLY to the OP - also I didn't read your reply.

If you took my post as a stab at your reply, then I feel that I should tell you that it was not my intention to offend you or devalue your comments in any way.

    You say poh-tate-oh - I say poh-tawt-oh:

People create Profiles on Social Networks. People Use these Profiles.

Profiles are created and Used by People. People see the content you leave/send them on these profiles, and said people act upon this information accordingly.

Through those profiles ( or whatever you prefer to call them ) we contact people ( or whatever you call them ) or post links ( and other various methods ) in areas where those ( whatever you say they are ) will see them and hopefully be enticed to "click here" and see what it is we are offering.

Words that also could be used instead of Profiles were:

    1. Users
    2. Accounts
    3. Memberships
    4. People
    5. Wallets
    6. Clients
    7. ( Insert Your Favorite Here )

Just sharing my experience with the OP and not aimed at anyone.

You are right about 1 thing in particular.......

    Biased = Yes!!!

    Thanks for noticing!

I use myspace and for my payday loan site peachtreecredit.com and received a good amount of traffic. You have do define and reach your target market on there. I'm also getting sales from my facebook, I actually like facebook more than myspace.

DC you have zero credibility. Obviously, you did read my reply, and were talking directly to me. Your post would make no sense at all if you were speaking directly to the OP. Also, you said they should try the FB group, which was what I suggested in my reply. You're joking right? Is that why you're lyao? I'll spend 20 more seconds on you.

Anyone can make a profile, it doesn't mean they use it. It just makes for fluffy numbers that people like you can use to try and convince others that it's worthwhile to market things on myspace.

Glad you know how to increase the font size, but it doesn't add any validity to what you're saying.

Dear OP: I'm not trying to get you to buy anything, or visit my website, and I wish you the best of luck with all of your efforts in your business. No matter which way you go, be sure to check your sources and take everything with a grain of salt.
