Any sites good for learning design skills?

    Hello,
I have some basic design skills, but I want to develop them further as they could still be a lot better (as with everything really... but you get what i mean).

My coding skills are perfectly good, so I don't need any sites about those :)

Does anyone have any recommended links, forums, or even good books? I am focusing more on web design, but even publication/flyer design etc as well.

Best articles's I've found online. Not cheap, but well worth the cost IMO. They usually have a few free articles as well.

Try subscribing to Before and After magazine.
An excellent resource for both basic and intermediate level designers.

Buy some books on color theory: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=color+theory+books&btnG=Google+Search

then just look around for great designs, weather it be; company branding, websites, print etc... and learn from them. One tip i would have to give you though is "Simplicity is Key" this is the most important thing when it comes to design. Keep things simple but yet still have an underlying meaning to it. Its hard to explain but look around http://www.designerstalk.com/forums/ ... they have alot of great designers there who give out great tips (not the most welcoming of people but still they know what there talking about)
