Any tips for my site?

Does anybody have any tips for how I can improve my ad placement at http://www.favorite-things.info ?

It's filled with some fairly random content at the moment, so I don't expect to make much money off it, but I thought I'd use it as a testing ground for ad placement before I start including adsense on another site or two.

Any suggestions that people might have would be appreciated. Thanks!

and always put and adbox at the top of your site. i would place it under "favorit things".

hope i helped you out a bit :).

hmm, i only see a 234x60 ad under each post (one at the mainpage under first post). Maybe try adding a wide scrycraper to the menu?

And I think an 468x60 banner would also fit under your articles. Its a bit wider, so people will notice it earlier. And as the above poster said, you could also try an 300x250 (or250x250) block integrated in the post.

Yeah, I'd tried medium and large blocks in the posts and after the first post on each page (not at the same time)...but some of my regular visitors complained that it was kind of annoying. But since I took them away my small bit of revenue has gotten even smaller, so maybe I'll put them back in. Its really search engine traffic that would bring in money on a site like this one anyway.

You'll eventually learn that visitors bitch and moan about everything, and that it's not worth appeasing a few whiners at the cost of your wallet.
