This would be good for me too. I'm trying to create a button for a arcade banner exchange, so please can someone tell us?

I'm thinking animation shop, but I'm not sure.

Well, going over to download.com will get you the newest version of NeoPaint which has a very easy to use animated gif process with it.

Once you set up to make a new animated gif it gives you a blank spot to paste your first picture in.Then you add another page and drop in the next, etc. till you have them all.

You can adjust the time each frame is shown and edit frame by frame. You may end up with a rather large file by the time you have 20 of them in it though.

There are a lot of other very good features that make it very useful to me. You won't be able to do movie style CGA but it is to MS Paint what Mt. Rushmore is to a sandcastle!

It IS shareware and will only give you a 30 day trial before it insists you purchase, but by the time you've put NeoPaint through its paces you will probably want to keep it. I think the latest price is about $50-$60

I use Active Gif Creator - not free but not complicated either.

I used it for all my myspace stuff :p

not that it matters but I think with PS, you actually have to use ImageReady for what it's worth
