Anybody else got Unclickable horizontal Adsense links?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by mrpcc, Mar 11, 2006.

I frequently have problems with horizontal links.

They display on the page, the 'adsense' logo is shortened and the ads are unclickable.

There seems no rhyme or reason.

Basically sometimes they're clickable sometimes not.

I usually place them in a table row, that's the only possible clue.

Has anyone else experienced this? or even better solved it?

I Never click on my own links, penalties too great.

The horizontal links appear only as normal text.
skyscrapers and regular ads are fine.

I have working ads on other sites & pages, but this problem seems to crop up from time to time.

I've tried different machines in different countries, same effect.

If you hover over links the cursor changes, check the ads at the top of the forum.

My routine is upload page, hover over all links, check appearance & source etc.

I think I'll go & browse for someone else's pages that have the same problem, if no-one here can suggest anything

Amin Thanks for your comments, unfortunately I'm not able to post links yet.

I think I see a pattern emerging where I've used <td colspan tags rather than width tag.

    I'll keep checking.

I would be careful about hovering over your links. While you aren't doing anything wrong, you could click, totally acciddentaly and get kicked off.

I agree, I think the problem is because of the fact that he doesn't use the tables right. Google Adsense ads are IFRAMES, ( correct me if i'm wrong ), and they are pushed within a table row. If that row is too small, then that could cause problems.
