Anybody uses the "AddThis" social bookmarking tool?

I am new in these waters, is anybody using the "AddThis" bookmarking tool?

Looks good and simple to install but is it good?

yes , it's good , the visitors to your sites maybe like your contents , so they can share it on other sites , then you can get more traffics .

I am getting a decent number of people clicking on the button, and it does seem to help traffic sometimes.I also like the fact that you get statistics via email of those who shared the article. But, I am considering changing it for large icons, as i noticed that they are very eye-catching when i have visited other blogs. So, it ups to you. I wonder if anyone has noticed a difference when switching from the Addthis button to the icons?

I tought it looked good, so I tried it, but because I couldn't get it XHTML valid (didn't try very hard but still), I didn't use it anymore

I am having problems with AddThis since yesterday... Even their site doesn't seem to load properly. Anyone knows what's going on?

 

I checked it just now and for me it runs without any problems. Problem will be probably on your side. Can you please be more specific about error you encountered?

 

Yes I use it on my site, its really helpful, users can bookmark my page on many bookmarking sites by using this really simple yet very useful tool.

 

Thanks, it was just appearing and disappearing since yesterday. I also couldn't see it on other sites that I know use it. But now it is back again and runs without any problems ). Just a temporarily glitch I guess. Thanks!!!
