Anyone here use HostGator?

I will ask a moderator to review our behavior.

 

I have one site on hostgator and three on i-power web. Both are on Linux and both give me access to the .htaccess file. I tried Godaddy for awhile, but they would not give me access to the .htaccess file for each site on a shared server for some reason. I don't have this problem with Hostgator.

Very good customer service. I made a mistake by paying them twice. However i didn't know it was my mistake and though i 've got double charge. I sent a email to them and got respond in the same day and the money is credit to my account.

 

I use them a lot, and I'm very happy with the service. In fact, just yesterday I got another account to handle a larger waesite I'm setting up.

 

That is extraordinary. Great customer relations. Puts them in the top 10% easily.

i have an online reseller plan with hostgator. Lately i need extra bandwidth within my plan so i went to ask the live person. Sadly, they do not provide such services i.e. no extra bandwidth or not ADD on. That's really make me feel sad as it's not a very flexible plan at all.

So just an advise for those who may one day hit max Bandwidth with this host gator, your site may be just down for the rest of the month.

 

i use them and theyre pretty good on the support. although one of my bigger forums couldnt be on theyre lower plan i didnt have any issues with them.

 

you could've upgraded to a higher bandwith plan, no? also, its' better to email them for support because their email support is far better than the live support.

 

I have received good feedback about them so far. I have the reviews by DP members in my sig

 

Poor experience with my blog site. Had my first outage and lost my database last night after just a few hours of being up. Poor tech support also. Didn't give me any help in understanding what had happened. I cancelled and am now looking for a more resiliant site. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Hi I am UK based, I have several minor sites with HG - support is above average, plus it seems they do care - you only have to visit their own forums to see some (allowed) negative comment, this is healthy in my opinion.
Many hosting companies censor criticism.

Well I'm happy to say that I've been with them for over 6 months without any serious problems

 

I've been with them for almost 4 months.Everything goes very nice so far.
Especially I like the support and server uptime.

 

I use to have a hostgater plan my site was always slow / timing out ect and there support sucked i was only with them for about 2 months befor i had enoth and went to a new host.

 

Not slow now? Better support? Who do you use?

 

I use iipanel.net now days

 

I have been using them for over a year now and am satisfied. The extra 3-5 bux a month is worth it for reliability and good service.

 

I am using Hostgator, had no problem with them.
