Of course, social networks are the busiest sites in regard to traffic and overall fanbase. I can't just give away my secrets to social networking, but I will say to focus on the most popular sites and learn how the communities work. When I say popular, I mean places where you'll be getting a lot of traffic for having your post or link go popular - Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Delicious... there's huge lists here on DP, check 'em out

Using twitter, myspace limited way. Not much success though.

Yes Social network facebook is really good for internet business. Specially Facebook Fan Pages.

 

Linkdin is also good for promoting business, but only in a smart, non-spammy way.

 

i used to use twitter, but im not using at the moment

I didn't know some of those were even social networks, but hey - I learn something new everyday



To reply to the OP - I run sites for MySpace members, and the best way to get them to come to my sites is by interacting with members.

Posting in MySpace Member Groups that are related to my Niche or others similar to mine.


Many others suggest that FaceBook is a better way to go, but that is a personal preference.

Social Networking is the thing of the future as far as internet marketing goes, either jump on board or fade into the shadows.

 

I use myspace and facebook, group and fans page. And they give enough traffict for me

 

I get a good amount from facebook and a little from myspace but then again I spend more time on facebook than myspace.

 

I have a facebook application that is getting some great results... Social Networks are the way to go.

 

Im using mostly facebook from marketing my web sites and promotion of my work.

 

I use Facebook and Twitter where I put news, pages etc. Also get idea is to add Twitter button with "Follow us on Twitter" on Facebook button with "Find us on Facebook". You can create your website profile using link "Create a Page for my Business" on Facebook and link to your website.

 

What is the opinion of everyone regarding Facebook "Fan Pages" versus Twitter?

 

I use social networks to drive traffic to my site and promote my products but very small conversion rate because I dont target a particular niche.

If you have a local business, chances are Twitter may not be your best approach. As always, Facebook will be your best option in promoting your business online.
