    That is good. Filezilla does the same. Pluse filezilla is completely free. I have never seen a reason to buy an ftp when I can get a great one for free that is updated regularly.

    There are many good ftp clients out there.
    I believe that it depends on your host server which will do a better job.
    Some I have tried don't want to really mesh with my server.
    Others almost work good.
    But cuteftp seems to like my server.
    May have to break down here shortly and buy the program.

    I carry this motion I reallly like filezilla and its free!

    but I would love to find an ftp program that stores user names and passwords as I have so many domains its a pain

    For just a few files, Total Commander's built it ftp client. For lots of files, Filezilla with transfer compression enabled and about 5-6 upload threads enabled.

    I was using cuteftp around 2 years back, but it crashed a lot, and was giving out weird errors, even after i formatted the machine and installed a new copy.
