Anyone not get all HoHoHo during the holidays?

I’m not a big holiday person. It’s just the way my family is. I asked my dad what he’s doing for Christmas and he said probably working, it’s just a day like any other day. He asked me and I said I don’t know probably eat tacos.

I don’t have a tree or lights up. One side of my extended family has opted out of having one big Christmas gathering and decided on just celebrating Thanksgiving since everyone normally has so many places to be family-wise of Christmas.

It’s not that I’m a scrooge or anything. It’s just not something that’s a big deal for me. If I had kids around then I’d “do” Christmas.

It’s just crazy that people go into debt during the holiday season. I hate all the traffic, overcrowdings, gorging on food, people that feel the need to make a yearly stop at their local church, and the greedy mentality of the season.

At the same time you have all of those people that get sad and depressed. I mean come on you’ve be alone all year does it really matter that you’re alone to hear Jingle Bells?

Don’t get me wrong I enjoy a good slice of pie and there are a couple of Christmas songs that I enjoy, but to me it’s just not a big deal.

Anyone else feel the same as I do about this?

I feel the exact same way. I worked all of the holidays since I was 15 years old - now that I don't, it's just another day. I hate the crowds too.

I have kids and Christmas is a great time of the year. One rule we have is we pay cash for all presents we buy.

People suck- especially during the holidays!

Everyone seems to be more cranky, edgy and mean during the holiday season.

You know you like them Oli. I can picture you humming Silent Night while you update Adwords accounts. ;)

My wife is very into the holidays and decorating. My daughter is too young to really understand what's going on, but she likes trying to pull ornaments off the tree. For me, I enjoy the holidays, but don't go crazy on spending or anything like that. I think I most look forward to the eggnog. Mmmm...

I wish it would get real icey again. I think I'd go to the country and find something to tie to the back of a truck and ride it.

I went night sledding last week. The hill we were on goes straight down into a baseball field. My brother and I saw this dude go right through the chainlink fence because he didn't bail out in time... the bottom of the fence just bent up and scraped over him. It was pretty bad... but pretty funny too. He got the wind knocked out of him, but seemed to be ok.

Yesterday someone rings my door at 20 minutes to midnight. I open up to see this ghetto looking, at least 16 year old guy with a platinum (Probably fake) cross on his chest. He starts singing: "We wish you a marry x-mass...." (We? What him and his imaginery friend?). I just said... Sorry mate, u might as well just stop now because i aint gonna give you anything...

    Pffffff wtf....

Two nights ago we had carolers practically beat down our door. They would not leave. They saw us and kept ringing the bell and knocking on the door, but we didn't answer the door. I was on the phone or I would have chased them away with a hose.

The kids love Christmas and it is so much fun to see how happy they are but I haven't really gotten into Christmas much this year.
