Anyone Still Use Skype?

Whenever I get on skype it seems like nobody is ever on... Even just as an instant chat. Do you use skype? Should I switch to a different service, because I'm not even aware of one that competes? skype: hostwinds.rodneyc

 

Seeing as how Microsoft is killing MS Messenger, and even maybe X-Box Live Chat, with Skype, there'll be a lot more people using it in the days ahead.

 

I do know that Skype takes a long time to show which contacts are online, I've seen it take 1-2 minutes until online users showed up. However yes I personally still use Skype and I don't think the platform is going anywhere anytime soon, especially due to its cross compatibility on mobile devices and such things.

 

I am using skype with my messenger account, and I see all my contacts in both services.

 

I believe Skype is still best messenger for video calls and I use it for that purpose only.

 

yea, i use it for that as well. what do you think about facetime in comparison?

 

Skype is what MSN was 5-6 years ago IMO

 

I use Skype because its so much easier to call overseas or set up conference calls with friends at no cost..

Yes I am still using Skype, it's more convenient and it is what I am used to.

 

Yes I do. I login everyday in mine. I think it's a very handy tool because a lot of DP users use it and it helps a lot in doing business.

I doubt I'll stop using it anytime soon unless they start charging you. But I doubt they would because they probably make enough profit from the calls people make.

 

I never used skype i had only try it two or three times but i didnt like it. I am used to yahoo messenger.

 

I found skype is the best as compare to other IMS.
it has easy edit option in written chat, comparitively better speach, moreover two-three skype accounts can online and chat at a time on a single computer.

 

You know Skype is much more corporate compared to yahoo messenger. I am using skype since it consumes a little bandwidth and not too much ads, no spam users just like Yahoo.

 

I've been using Skype for almost 2 years and I've been chatting with colleagues and friends everyday.

 

since making this post i've built my skype up significantly. it's actually a pretty awesome tool. you can import all your facebook contacts as well which is pretty great.

 

yes, i am still using skype. But facebook is more popular now a days. so people mostly come online on facebook chat.

 

skype can now be integrated with your facebook as well though.
