Anyone Use Moodle? Any thoughts?

I'm starting Moodle in the face right now and wondering how useful it is and whether anyone has ever done anything with it. I know it's designed for online courses, but I have no idea what it does differently.

What have you done with Moodle? Is there anything it's great for, anything it's terrible at, or anything I should know when setting up a Moodle site? How is it different from every other CMS?

I set up some stuff with it. It's got a learning curve, but it's pretty nice once you get the hang of it.

Did you use it for educational purposes or just as a general CMS?

My school uses it to provide us with revision info and stuff. It's ok, I wouldn't use it for anything else than educational purposes, as a CMS on the whole it doesn't really look feature rich tbh.
