anyone used this host before?

http://www.stackedtech.com - are they any good? i'm looking at the reseller plan... prices are pretty decent.

There plans look good and the site design looks good. You can never be too careful nowadays, most hosts are just looking for a quick $. I think you should go with a well known company. Atleast you'll get the support and help you need and you'll only have to pay a little bit more, it's all worth it in the end.

 

Mmm cheap reselling often equals over sold servers, but in saying that I havent got any experience with these guys...The site looks pro enough. Worth further investigation id say.

 

I also haven't heard of them, but they are offering 100% secure servers, which is impossible. And their uptime guarantee is stated as both 99.9% and 99.999%, very very different amounts of time.

 

Thats is scamming , no one in the world can say that 100% secure , there is nothing in the world 100% perfect.

Like I said, I've not used them so it is up to you to decide if they are worthy of your business.

 

100% Secure are servers that are offline.

 

For me the the mark of any good company, hosting or otherwise is up to date and available contact information.

I should be able to view a website and find the name, address and phone number for a company. Any company pretending to be professional does not hold a lot of weight with me if this isn't available.

That said, as Soniqhost says, their secure servers are off line and that's where the contact information is for some odd reason...

From my experience, there's no point going with small unknown hosts that offer insanely cheap prices. You'll get sick of host jumping very soon. There should be a statistic of how many hosts start up and how many silently disappear within a year
