Apple launching new ipod??

    Read in newspaper, there is special event for journalists in SF. Apple is about to launch new product ( not many clues given what). May be video ipod or ipod cellphone.

    Odd.. I've never had a problem. Which model? I get 12+ hours out of mine. Now the iBook batteries as of late.. They suck. I used to get 4 to 6 hours on my previous one. The iPod however, I've had no problems with as far as battery life!

    They're pretty notorious for low battery life. I've got a few friends with them and they all get SIGNIFICANTLY less than 12 hours... we're talking 2, 3, 4, etc.. with varying amounts of use obviously, but by and large, not enough to drain the capacity that much. a quick google search will turn up alot of people with similar prob's. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones, mia!

    I should have been more specific. This is an iShuffle/iPod. I work out a lot and the last thing I want to do is lug a heavy/bulky (even the mini) around. So I bought the Shuffle and find it last in excess of 12 hours, works great, and stores more music than I will ever listen to. I use it in my car via an FM Transmitter, and on my bike with head phones on. Works wonderfully...
