Apprentice 4 winner Randal is the Best.

I'm a big fan of the television show the Apprentice, and this season was the best I've ever seen. Randal Pinkett claimed victory Thursday night over Rebecca, getting a 250 thousand dollar a year job with Donald Trump.

What annoys me though, is that yesterday afternoon, I went over to Randal's official site, and I checked the forum, and all these people are insulting him and telling him he was wrong not to hire Rebecca as well when Trump gave him the option.

I want to make something clear for everyone. Randal was not the one at fault. Trump was. He should have not asked Randal that stupid question to begin with. In the entire history of the show, their has never been two Apprentices, why start now?

Trump just decided to change the rules at the last minute, and it backfired.

As Trump stated, it may be a game to you and me, but it's business to him. He hires the best people and felt Rebecca would be an asset to his company. Randall was selfish, self-centered and never even considered his new employer. I had a lot of respect for him til he did that and he deserves to be bashed.

 

If Rebecca was the best why didn't Trump hire her? And fryman, thanks for telling me something I didn't realize. Oh well, I didn't know there were two threads anyway. Fire me.

 

Don't take the phrase lterally, if Trump only 'hired the best' he'd only have 1 employee. Trump felt she would be an asset and wanted her and Randall was presented with his first decision which was a wrong one.

 

I just think that Randal could have been a little classier and said something else.

 

Randall is a shmuck...I read somewhere that Trump called him "lazy"...

Trump called him lazy? How is a Ph.D with 5 degress, a Rhodes Scholar, and his own business lazy?

Trump is an idiot. If Randal was so lazy why did Trump higher him instead of Rebecca?

Well, i think Trump had good intention when he ask Randall to hire Rebecca...and Randall should had done the right thing..i personally think that Randall decision will come back to haunt him latter on....

Randal should have said as my first order of business Mr. trump, I'd like to hire Rebecca. Then she wouldn't have been a winner. He looked and sounded like a schmuck instead.

 

That would have been a really smart thing for Randal to do.

 

It would have been so predictable.

With the mass firings I knew he wanted to hire both of them before I even watched the show. I laughed out loud when he actually asked the question.

Here's the thing. If he wanted to hire Rebecca .. .he's Trump he didn't need Randal's OK. Secondly, the game is The Apprentice and not the Good People Who Could Work For Trump Show.

I know it's not a game for Trump. So if he wanted to hire her, he should have. I believe it's his fault.

If Randall didn't see it comming then he's a moron and as Noppid pointed out he should have hired Rebecca. Randall made a huge mistake and I'm sure Trump knows this and it will come back to haunt him IMHO.

 

You make good points. But I gotta wonder, if Randal, despite his remarkable education and such, would have perhaps had a failure if not for the fact that he had Rebecca as a partner along the way. I think Trump recognized this and opened the door for Randal to take her along for the rest of the ride.

I dunno if Trump is on record with his expectations, but the look on his face told me he didn't get the desired result.

If Trumped look at everything as a unilatteral affair, there would be no apprentice either.
