Arcade Website? READ HERE :o

So, i've decided to make an arcade website.
Joomla is a good CMS, but I don't think its the best for this type of site.

kpwnd.com is my website and i have around 60 games on the site.. But i've got over 1600 Games on my computer now. I want a CMS that will give me the ability to show a photo of the game, have a little description, and a title to each game. (shown below). Does anyone know any CMS that will allow me to do that? Will Joomla?

No offense, but I don't think you did much research on finding a script. There's a bunch of them out there now as I'm sure you're about to find out when people see this thread.

The one I use is http://www.phparcadescript.com version 2.0.

It's powering the second site in my signature if you want to check it out. I found it very easy to customize once I figured out exactly how it worked. As you can see, my site is very different from their demo.

There are many others, but I don't have time to list 'em all right now. Hope this helps.

I didn't do any looking for scripts. I was just wondering from literall face value of the CMS if it will do it.

I looked around on that script, and its not really what im looking for.

yes its a good script, but i want something for a CMS

 

There are scripts built specifically for arcades.

I know of http://www.gamescript.net . Several arcades use that script, which is why I've never used it myself. Another one is http://www.shockscript.com/. I haven't used this one either (really don't like turnkey scripts).

 

Shockscript is way too expensive for what's really worth.

I would not recommend it.
