    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Are these placement changes any better?

I run a few different sites for All Info About. I use the same color scheme and ad placements for each. My old ad placements / blending (or lack thereof) can still be see at www.allinfoaboutconsulting.com.

I'm trying out some different colors and such now on www.allinfoaboutmarketing.com. The difference I'm curious about is the right column adsense skyscraper. I tried to blend it better, and rather than the simple article list for featured articles, I tried to match the formatting of the ads a bit. Is that even allowed? I know the alignment is a bit off on the ads. I'm waiting for one of the admins to see if it needs to be fixed on the actual template, so they'll line up eventually. I just figured I'd ask for some feedback in the meantime.

    Thanks!

Dunno if you tried to remove borders and match the background colour of the ads with the background colour of the site, but in any case I like it that way.

    Jenn,

First of all, the Flash banner has got to go ;) You (and your services) are very professional, and the Flash banner just detracts from that.

Next, good job on the new blending. Borderless is a much more effective blending style.

On pages like this, http://www.allinfoaboutmarketing.com/index.php?page=What_is_Marketing , I like your ad placement, but you need to blend your ads to match the rest of the page (get rid of the blue links and change the dark red to normal red). Also, scrap the "Advertise on this Site" link (you can find the steps to do this at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1081542)

Overall, you've got a nice design and template going for you. Make those tweaks and then let me know, and I'll give it a second look over ;)

Unfortunately, I have no control over the flash banner. :( I build three sites for the AIA network. I get to control all of the adsense and other ads I place, but that banner is how the content network pretty much makes all of their money. It's in the template which I don't have control over anyway. On the sites I run completely on my own, I do avoid things like that. But I love the network, the people running it, and the other writers managing sites, so I'll likely be keeping my content there for at least quite a while. :)

I hadn't even thought about the ads within the articles yet. Thanks for reminding me. :) And thanks for the link to remove that. I didn't even realize I could. Actually, I just took care of the instructions, but do I need to go in and get new code now for my ads and re-insert them, or should they update automatically... because it still is showing up?

Thanks a lot for all your help. :)

They should auto-update, but it will probably take a little while.

Glad I could help, keep up the good work ;)
