I just ordered another gig of RAM and got excited....I am a geek.

 

I would be pretty excited too.. if only I could afford it!

 

I got another tv tuner card too

 

I am a geek, if anyone has a problem with itm I will beat you with stacks of $100 bills that I earned from knowledge received doing such things as higher education (bookworm) and "dorking" out in front of the computer researching.

This process will be completed quickly as I drive by you in my huge a55 SUV not worrying the cost of gas. Not having to worry about the cost of gas will allow me to go around the block and hit you up a second time just for fun.

A picture of me wearing a "GEEK" T-shirt last year at Christmas got printed in a lotta papers (page A2 of the Washington Post was one) so my answer would be yes! ;-)

The X10 controller pictured IS real and actually IS used to turn my lights on and off - great fun with the kids ... and especially when you are in the ABC News Helicopter overhead at 6:00 and you can talk your wife into pushing the buttons for 'ya ... ;-)

 

I have to say, I was a little unimpressed with the finish on the web cam project. After the Hulkin Lemonade stand, bbq, and deck projects (of course the christmas lights are money)...I think that the finish on the sewer pipe cam mount left a little to be desired.

 

chachi: I assume you are talking about my outdoor webcam box which I made from $27.34 of Home Depot parts. I actually didn't notice until I got home that I had bought a SEWER pipe ... but the icing on the cake for me was when I needed a viewport cover so I used an AOL CD case - I DID polish that up! ;-)

I am much closer to a nerd than a geek. I actually had taped up glasses in 5th and 6th grade because we had no money.

I majored in physics for a while, so I'd better rate well as a geek! And then there was that science fiction convention after-party where I watched a Klingon disco dance... really wish I had had a camera with me that time.
