I see a lot of people here like to work over-night. I am single and it works great for me.

But for those who are married or w/ kids do you still overnight? How does that work for you?

You can't do that if you have kids.

I have a friend here, who would turn off the ringers of all the phones, mute the PC speakers, watch movie in subtitles at night. Ofcourse he is married and has kids.

As for me, i am single, no kids, so i work till i fall.

I'm married with a 2 year old son and a 10 year old daughter and I'm a graveyard webmaster. How do I do it? I get 5 hours of sleep a night tops. Most nights I get 4, and some I get 3.

I'm still pretty young though, so my body can handle it. I might as well take advantage of it while I can.

    (It's 3:20AM at the moment)

Or until your body decides it cannot keep functioning properly under the strain it's being placed under. ;)

I find I'm more productive doing graveyard web work, but it's hard with a 9 month old daughter (that's her in my avatar).

I usually plan to stay up working, but when she finally falls alseep at night I'm cuddled up to her and can't bring myself to get up and work.

Married, got a kid, and yes, I work all night, and all day. My wife works second shift so I go to work (my office during the day)... I usually get in around 10-10:30AM. I am up by 8AM every morning (ealier on the weekends) though. I spend a couple hours at home on the computer checking email, invoicing, billing cc's, checking overnight trouble tickets, etc...

My wife usually leaves around 3PM for work, at which point I go home, get my kid and bring him to work with me. I then usually leave the office around 7 or 8PM, let my kid take a nap, and go back to work in my home office. I go to bed around 3 - 4AM every morning, and am up around 8AM. Wife is home by around 1-2AM sometimes later, at which point my son is up, we play, the da da, goes to bed!

    It's a never ending cycle.

I usually work until about 1-2am and get up at 7 to start it all over again. I can do this for a few weeks, then have to take a few days off to crash.

I usually work nights, but the past few weeks, I work till I can't stay up anymore, sleep for a few hours, then back up at it again. It must be the doom and gloom pending economy failure a few keep talking about, because I've taken on enough work last month to keep me booked until the end of April and have more work waiting after that. I've had to turn work away or refer it to someone else lately. I like working nights because there are less distractions and I can get more done.
