    I just completed the survey.
    I think smart phone and digital camera have different purpose.
    To get perfect shot you still need a camera even if your smartphone is pretty good.

    I just have 1 Lens 18-135 stm have to buy more special macro lenses . Just saving money for that :D

    Professionals will always need professional tools, regardless of industry. However most photos don't need to be such good quality and the guy behind the lens isn't interested in learning how to use those tools. Smart phones are for the masses.

    I have an iPhone and it does a very decent job in taking casual pics. But for serious photographers, Digital Cameras are the way to go.

    i think iPhone 4S is dramatically sharper and cleare than previous iPhone versions. Using separate focus and exposure in Camera+ on the iPhone 4 & 4S significantly helped create a more balanced exposure. While it's not nearing the same quality as a professional level dSLR, it is comparable to a top of the line compact camera and even outshines it in some ways.

    Z1 is fixed to have a sharp inner radius but fuzzy on the outer radius. That’s the weakness of smaller lens plus the sony exmor sensor will always have a washed out daylight photo.

    For professional photography, nothing get beat DSLRs, but for taking day to day photographs, I'd really mind carrying a DSLR everytime and for that there are smartphones. :) Following are a few pics I took with a smartphone and I think it did a pretty good job.

    As one of the masses, I don't know (or care?) what de-focusing should be doing to those petals. I want to capture the moment. If you think about the point and click camera that the smartphone user would have if the phone hadn't taken over, it wouldn't be sort a professional would use and probably would miss the de-focusing on the petals too.

    Well Said! In fact, I don't really know what effect would defocusing have on that picture. Furthermore, I don't even know the technical meaning of defocusing, let alone using it while taking photographs. ;)
