    Please move this if I am in the wrong place...

    I have been in touch with an article directory owner about possibly purchasing his business/site, etc.

    A few details:

    - In the top 10,000 on Alexa
    - Article database of a couple hundred thousand articles
    - Twenty some thousand authors
    - Revenue unknown

    What would a fair price for this be in your mind? Any estimate would do!

    Generall you pay for 12 months of profit for the site. But considering it is in the top 10,000 I would also consider the length of time the site has been up. How established it is. That is one of the ways to estimate the price.

    Depends a LOT on income (as mentioned before) its rankings in the SEs, backlinks, age of the domain etc.
