    Step one: fill it with good content
    Step two: grow a large base of followers that keep coming back for your good content
    Step three: start letting app developers buy reviews on the site to promote their games

    I develop android apps and a good review on a site with a large following can really increase downloads. So there are plenty of app developers that will pay good money to get reviewed. The hard part is writing the good content to get your site popular with users. As with most anything on the web the key is to create a good following.

    I think normal monetization applies. Can use Adsense, Infolinks, sell banner ads, affiliate for other gaming products, your own gaming ebook etc.

    I don't see why not but if your web site is about gaming you could try some of the ad networks that are specialized in gaming ads.
    This way you will generate better income. :)

    Add a Game which is actually people seeking for a long time. Game with stages and simply allot some space for ads in your websites for the keywords with high bid.
