    Dear , DP Webmasters .

    I try to make a wordpress theme since 2 week's ago , but i still can't find how i can creat readmore .
    i mean , i do looping .
    but , the content still , full view .
    i want to get readmore on index.php

    what should i do ?
    i do create archive , single , page , but still can't look read more .
    i want people , open my wordpress and i want my article have a readmore , and go to single php after click my post .

    would you help me ?
    i have been read a lot of tutorial theme develop include wordpress codex , but still don't get it .

    This is easy. After the loop, you have used the_content() to load wordpress posts. It loads full posts. Replace it with the_excerpt()
    It will show first 50 words from your posts.
