Average Web Salary?

    Hello,

I plan to start going full time with my web design company in mid-november then by Jan 1st, I'm going to have a few other websites dealing with news, reviews and previews for video games, movies and music. I was wondering what's the average salary for a web designer alone? My goal is to try and shoot for $200-300 a day just in web design but of course I won't make that right off the bat as it it will take time, I messed around with a few marketing tips and managed to make $500 in just a few days. I have 7 years of experience and plan to work about 10 hours a day on everything, it takes me about 2-5 hours to get a really nice website done depending on what it deals with.

I plan to offer web design and development, web hosting, content management and some other small things like graphic and logo design. How much is possible for all of this in a year salary? I know you can't give me a right answer as it depends on my hard work and marketing, but long as I handle those well, is $100k in the range? including the websites I will run which will generate revenue from advertising, cobranding and other services.

If possible please feel free share your salary but if you want to keep it private then thats totally fine as well. I'm just wanting to get a general feel on what can be made.

    Thanks!
    Scott

As you said it is realy dependant on how you set things up. I have met people who make anywhere between 50-1,000,000 a month online. That being said it really does not depend on how hard YOU work, but how well you deligate and how well you lead if you are looking to be near the top.

For your design business I have made 1k a week max working on programming, sites, etc. It is not so much that the work is time consuming, it is the overhead of dealing with customers, finding new customers and things like that.

From what you have said I think 100k is going to be a bit high for starting off. Usually when people cut loose the big focus is just staying afloat while things build. If you are really good and want to work really hard you can probably make that much though.
