AVG 1,200 hits a day but low payment? Help please

add another revenue method like chitika, amazon and clickbank. Don't rely on adsense.

 

^Yeah I wouldnt rely only on adsense even though you might be coming close to breaking the TOS. But then again, I don't know, because my CTR with adsense was so low that I switched to Clicksor.

 

clicksor is not a good option because they don't have much advertisers. Better try adbrite

wm007, I wasnt using alexa, i actually only heard about it a couple times. I use a site meter and just recently in the past week google analytics to record trackings. I apologize if I gave miss-information but this is really my first big website :/ not tryn to make it sound like I run a corporation hehe. How could I better my rank on alexa tho?

If I could use adbrite on my site along with google adsense I would definitly do that.

 

If you want to be serious about this business, you should start by learning a thing or two about web stats. Hits? That's a meaningless statistic. Are you actually reporting the hits value in your stats program, or did you mean sessions, page views, or unique visitors?

 

DirtyDog, as I am reading it, Google Analytics is reporting 760 uniques as of today and its been a slow day, any suggestions? I know I need to research more, thats why I'm posting here Hopefully I can get some good advice and pointed in a good direction to start heading besides down!

 

In my spare time I've given lots of people like you advice, but you never listen. It's like talking to a wall when I mention "lots of unique uptodate quality content" as the most important thing to get traffic, simply because it means they need to get of their lazy butt, yet teenagers like you always have parents do everything for you and you're not used to this kind of reality.

I'm don't want to sound harsh, but that's just a plain fact. You need to get your butt in gear and add good content. Sure, you need to have at least a few backlinks to get some basic traffic like you have now, but they are not the most important factor. I can honestly say that I've NEVER seen a site with lots of unique uptodate quality content doing bad, never, unless they were banned or suffered other misfortune.

Thank you for your input wm007, I have been slow on keeping content uptodate on a daily baises in the past couple weeks dew to starting up a new site (experimental).

Stop doing that, it's wasting time. Don't start another site, when the first one still needs a lot of work. What is it with you young guys, because obviously designig a web site seems to be a lot more important than adding actual content. No wonder why many of you don't have succces. It reminds me of some 18 year old that I gave advice... he never listened, opended a second site and spent most of time on his first site redesigning and improving it all the time so that he would get a high score on http://sitescore.silktide.com/ ... duh. He bragged one day with a score of 9,5 while my site had 7,6 and wondered why my site was doing 27 times better than his. Needless to say that also he became one of those millions wannabe webmasters that you never hear of anymore...

mine got 6.3 but I'm not happy. rarely visited, unless it is only a couple months old. in our 5th year...

I was just thinking about trying to increase British views which are only around 6th in my stats. We have a namesake city there.
