WARNING: Thread contains some dox of this scammer!

This pathetic excuse for a "man" is a scammer. Was working in an eBay venture with him and I was listing the products, the funds would go to his account, he'd withdraw then send me my share. After withdrawing on Sunday, expected time was 2-3 days. So it would have most probably been there on Tuesday, on Monday we briefly spoke about when the transaction would come through. As you can see after Monday he hasn't came online, same on DigitalPoint http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=51698. I've emailed him multiple times and I know he's seen them and he's still attempting to avoid me.

I don't know how many times I've said this but...references,references,references. Before I do business with anyone I check them out first. If they come up short or shady, I pass them by.
You state that he has a criminal record,why didn't you find this information out before you decided to do buisness with him?

 

To find this information, I went into the deep web. Took me a bit of time to gather all of this, but one lead led to another.
Though I'm not at a deficit here, as eBay owns PayPal. I've informed the buyer to open a dispute, his PayPal account will be in the negative, with his bank attached and his details given to PayPal he should expect a SRJ debt collecting letter. Not my loss here, his.

Also Spoiltdiva you have to understand, if a person is 26 years old you wouldn't expect them to be so dumb enough to get them self in a dispute they CAN'T win without tracking information. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Keep phoning him but he's letting his phone ring out, he attempted to switch off his phone the whole past 2 days but it's back on. Time to hit him with some bogus calls and get him some Dominos pizza for the next 365 days!

 

Sounds like you should have done your research before you got involved instead of after when there was more on the line.

On line reputation? Obviously he is not worried about that. You might have to resort to legal action in small claims court. You do have a contract and proof of what he owes you. If not you might be screwed and just have to consider it a lesson learned.

You'd be surprised at how people googling your name and finding your past could ruin you in real life for future jobs as well. Also I'm not taking this into court, like I said the funds were from an eBay buyer who has agreed to open a dispute and not give me negative feedback as long as I help him win. Without tracking information it's impossible for him to win a transaction which was through eBay and requires it.

This is a reason I used his PayPal for receiving the eBay funds, in case of this I had already planned out what might have happened. I did not jump into this oblivious as there was only one way I'd find out if his DP reputation would match was by doing a transaction with him. I don't use my own PayPal for people I've never done transactions with to prevent me going deficit, things like this once PayPal asks for invoices for proof of cameras unless he can get a hold of something from a friend he is well and truly blacklisted from PayPal/eBay. I know this because I worked in the call centres as a teen a while ago.

I agree, but I would not mention family members... that is going a little far. He hurt you, not them. Other than that, soldier on. There might be legal implications of posting names/contact info of persons not involved. Not sure. I know my wife'd due you wife it were me as the bad guy and her name being dragged into it.

Also be careful, going too far would constitute "bullying", a law in the US now.

 

Fair point, but under British laws it's acceptable as he's posted it himself in the past and you can access the information through the Whois.

Years ago there was a book on how to get even with people. There was an address where you could send their name and address and they would be put on all the adult/sex magazine offers. I assume there is some sort of internet site.

Maybe you could get his name on the no-fly list. There are all sorts of things you could do if you just want to get even or annoy him. Some will leave you open to liable and lawsuits.

Personally, I would not bother. For me, it's not worth the emotion and upset distracting me from more profitable pursuits. I would just consider it a lesson learned and put policy in place to avoid that sort of situation in the first place.

Earlier, I suspect, you left yourself open and acted against your better judgement.
