Banner or leaderboard which is better for Adsense

When we see leaderboard we can see the url and so I would not click on Ad despite I like the ad but visit the url directly but thats not the case with Banner and so what you guys think about it.

Also DP does not use leaderboard but Banner and is that the main reason because I am sure DP can use leaderboard.

 

I think that banners have a bad rep. People are so conditioned to a banner being an advertisement now adays that my vote would 100% go to leaderboard. //adsenseoverdrive.com/

 

Banners have been around too long and have gotten a bad rap. It is almost as if we have bcome desensitized to them. For so long they flashed at us from the top of the page clicking them always resulted in someone selling us something so we simply stopped clicking them. Go with the leaderboard for sure

 

Banner having a lowest click rate generally. However, it is depend on your website
I suggest you try each of them or two weeks and you can find out which is better on your website

 

Leaderboard in my opinion... also depends on how your site looks..

 

I don't think that's the main reason that differentiate between a leaderboard and a banner. If the visitor wants to click on the ads, the person will *just* do it anyway, regardless of whether they see the url or not.

 

But if you see the url you may not click but you have no choice in other case.

 

I think that all depends on right AdSense optimization of your sites!
Of course that Leaderboard have better Click-through-rate because of it's size compared to "standard" 468x60 banner. I think that you should use both ad types on your site to maximize earnings!
