Best CMS for Online Magazine?

Hi, I wonder what should we use for an online magazine? Is Joomla enough? Is there anything else better than Joomla?

ijoomla magazine is good to begin with. Adding the correct template would be the best way to begin. Rocket Themes has a good magazine template that really looks well. Once template is installed you get the correct look and feel.

 

Joomla can alone do it.

Wordpress has a magazine layout as well.

 

well wordpress does has but still, Joomla is the best as it has so many features and can be added so easily.
Moreover, for wordpress you'll require a magazine layout template but in Joomla, module positing can be changed in any theme and hence more flexible

Thank you friends for all your input. I am convinced now that I will go for Joomla. Though Wordpress and Drupal are alternatives, Joomla can meet all my needs.

Anyone has a review for Joomlart. I heard that many of its templates don't work with Internet Explorer.

 

I use Wordpress with customized magazine theme at my Gadget Store

 

well i once got hired to make magazine site in joomla , www.nepalaawaz.com , the site is basic joomla only no addons just a nice template used , it got diff categories and diff cat new published in diff modules positions , and there are more addons that can be used to make it much better

 

i am using wordpress with these themes on one of my blogs

and it works pretty well for me.

 

There are a lot of Magazine type sites using the Revolution Theme with Wordpress. They look pretty slick and some are ranking very well.

 

You would have to be utterly mad to not use wordpress for this. Joomla is not the proper solution. Not to mention, Joomla security is pretty much non existent these days.
