I have used many CMS and still do, depending on what your goals are, and what type of content you will have would decide on which one I would use. I use a little script called commonsense script for my article site, it has a lot of features and built in adsense management, click bank, yahoo ads and such.

Depends on how do you want your site to look , but i'm sure that one of the best if not best is DLE cms , its very seo friendly , creates address with your keywords , automatically searchs for every content keywords (If u don't want to hassle much with it) and much much more .
But than again you could always do the same with any of the popular CMS's by installing few modules/hacks...

SEO is a function of many factors. Most modern day CMS's will work just fine. But it's up to you to do the SEO. I like Wordpress for ease of use and good SEO tools. I like Joomla for sites which I need to place and manage content that is more static in nature.

Wordpress is your bet...especially if your site doesn't need to be complicated.

A review of it you can find it on MytestBox.com.
    And download from www.worpdress.org

    My votes goes to MODx

Takes a bit to get your head in the their lingo (just like Drupal or Joomla), but once you get the hang of it, building templates is a breeze ...

Plus side: simple system for end-users, great for SEO
Down side: meta tagging a bit off

Wordpress with a custom skin would make it look like a normal site, instead of a blog. Wordpress is the most search engine friendly cms script out there and is quite easy to maintain and doesn't have all the fluff normally associated with CMS.

Based on what i have read, and what i have experienced, Drupal with search-engine-friendly URL's activated, combined with the PathAuto module is one of, if not the best.

PathAuto is a Drupal add-in module that creates URLs based on the subject/title of the node.

If your site is a forum, or if other people are creating pages/nodes for you then this is a must have. But if you are creating all of your nodes/pages yourself, then by just activating the Path (built-in w/Drupal) module you can manually specify your URL's when writing the page.

DLE - seo friendly URL , 3 kinds to choose from
built in sitemap maker and manager script.
auto keyword tracker , it will use keywords of the content on every page automatically, unless you want to do it by your self.

without even looking for modules you can set , such as tag cloud ( internal links if im not mistaken)

there could be more things i did not mention anyways ..
