Best CMS/News Posting Software for a Game News Site

Hi guys. I currently own a gaming fansite that posts news every now and then. I've owned it for around 4 years, and the current layout is fugly, I know (http://www.abyssalchronicles.com/index.php). These years I've been using the Fusion News news posting software (FusionNews.net), which uses nothing but PHP. The reason I've been using it is because of the flexibility of using it with any layout (you get to code the news template in HTML, etc.) and the feature of using a CAPTCHA code for news commentators.

I'm currently in the process of making the new layout (http://www.abyssalchronicles.com/indexv3test.php), and these past 3 months, Fusion News has been giving me a bunch of problems. Spam gets through the CAPTCHA, I've had to use extensive editing of its PHP function files to get the site to look how I want it, it's not good for SEO, etc.

I've been looking at two options for now, Joomla or Drupal. And Wordpress too, I guess.

This is basically what I'm looking for:
1.) Allows full customization of how it'll appear on the site, and can be (hopefully) edited via HTML, though not necessarily.
2.) Can be integrated into an already existing HTML coded template.
3.) Can work in a PHP page (the site uses PHP for integrating parts of the site into a page, such as the navigation and such. Makes editing site-wide elements easier that way).
4.) Can (hopefully) allow importing news from other sources... though I doubt this, as Fusion News has its own scripts and such.
5.) Allows category images (Look at my new version's demo), or a news thumbnail with a short description for each news post (like in this site: http://www.andriasang.com), viewing news by category or by tags.
6.) Will allow the first/latest news post to have a different template, in such a way that all of its content shown, while the 2nd and the following news posts have only the news title, an image, and a short description (or short part) of the news with a read me button (Example: http://www.finalfantasyxiii.net/)

    Thanks guys!
