    Hello all,

I have a client who is looking forward to setup a Non-profit Religious website. I am suggesting him for not investing in Website Development or designing and opt for either of the CMS based website. I need suggestion about the CMS to be considered for this website. Shall I ask him to opt for Drupal or Joomla or any other CMS based website? What do you think is the best CMS for religious website? Why?

    Thanks in advance :)

technically any major open source cms would do the job, but you should consider more on user-oriented aspect like how easy for them to update and operate it. basic installation of drupal or joomla is already powerful but might be intimidating for newbies, you can always have the option to develop simple fully customized cms with the frameworks available now

I prefer wordpress due to it's simplicity for the non-techy user.

The genre of the website isn't usually the deciding factor as to whether or not a CMS should be used. You should think more about how you are going to manage the content. If you don't have someone who is familiar with code, probably a CMS is better. Then you can download a template and be up and running without looking at any code.

Any CMS, that meets your functionality requirements. You just need to design it in compliance with the religious theme.
