Hello. I wanted to know, which content management system is best for getting RSS feeds from other sources - ie. news from cnn, bbc, etc. So far, I have only played around with joomla, but is any other better. I was looking at Pligg but i have never tried, or remember seeing sites created using pligg.

    Thanx..........

Wordpress and any other CMS should be fine. I like WP more because there are tons of free plugins.

I would also say Wordpress is the best way to do this. To aggregate full or partial feeds automatically just download and install the FeedWordpress plugin. Or, if you just want headlines - wordpress has an internal Wordpress parser you can use by just adding some PHP code to a template page. Read my post from last week Profit from and Hack RSS Feeds.

Wow! That's was totally totally unexpected. first 4 responses and it's 3 out of 4 all for WordPress. I didn't even imagine using wordpress. I have always looked at it as just a blog software. Didn't know it can used as CMS, or to pull RSS feeds. Thanks guys, I will definitely go take another look at wordpress.

Wordpress is easy. Doing this in Drupal would probably make it faster and more flexible. Mind you there are loads of good RSS parsers out there, so you could just do it in plain HTML and a little javascript.

I am starting to get a sense, that i should just go with word press. i guess my last question is, does word press has a feature for members to add articles and vote on those articles? this is why i was looking to other cms because they have this feature, however i have no idea if word press has it or not.
