Best country to buy a boat or yacht?

Hello every one. I have been very busy working in the oil fields. Where would a person find the best deal and selection of boats? I have done some researching and notice local yacht clubs or marine store sites usually have better boat prices. There is always eBay I guess. Looking at a 30-40 foot Grand Banks the price can vary 1/2 a million dollars. Are boats cheap in India? I notice some half decent prices in Mexico. If any one has some good info, please let me know. Thanks :)

    Is price your only criteria?

I gather here in NZ we're pretty good at building and outfitting super yachts.

Hello. Thank you for your reply. No price is not the only criteria. I have much to learn and would like quality for the money. There is a huge difference in boat building and design. Where the boat is located is a big factor also. I have no desire to cross the Atlantic or do Cape horn. :) Only experience I have is sailing the Caribbean (day trips) with the old man and some time on some smaller boats I have owned. Spent some time on the Sea of Cortes. Set myself a 20 mile off shore limit. It was only a 21 foot cabin cruiser. The killer whales were bigger than the boat. Mind you I have seen a guy in a open 14 foot aluminum taking on 15 foot waves off Prince Rupert, BC. I am not going there. That guy had to be comfortable on the water. We were in a much bigger boat and fighting to make head way. Exploring the BC coast line for a summer is appealing to me. No, I am not rich. If I was, I would be on the custom built yacht now. lol Thought a 30-40 Grand Banks would be good. Easy enough to handle. Slow safe boat big enough to live on for awhile.
