Best Easy to Code CMS

Is there a CMS system out there that doesn't need much programming experience to code but that allows me complete felxibility in the design/appearance of the website?

Alternatively - probably even better - is there a CMS that I could "add on" to websites I've already coded to make certain pages editable by users?

I currently code brochure style websites in html and css using Expression but want to be able to offer customers cms websites as well.

Many thanks to anyone who could point me int he right direction.

Do you have any experience in coding in my PHP/MySQL? If so, I might suggest building your own CMS.
While there are a number of viable open source CMS options, I designed m own for use with my clients, as some would be overwhelmed by even the most basic WordPress installation.

Many thanks jmjinks. I'm afraid I don't have php/mysql experience which is why I need a package / editable script.

For clarification, I am after a simple CMS for small websites - eg one customer can change text or photos on one or more already existing pages. I'm not looking into all singing all dancing CMS systems whereby customers can add new pages and this updates the navigation etc or the ability to have lots of different customers updating.

Ideally I would love a cms add on to existing sites.

    Would really appreciate any pointers.
