    What is best FREE forum script for webmaster forum?
    I see that vbulletin is very popular but if I am not mistaken vbulletin is a paid script.
    Recommendations will be much appreciated.

    http://getvanilla.com/ I don't get why more people don't use this. Too lazy I suppose. It is quite cool, has plenty of mods, is lightyears faster, and can be made to look and function like most boards.

    I would recommend PHPbb or SMF, both are pretty secured against hackers and their are alot of plugins for them.

    I've used phpbb and invisionfree. If you're a newbie invisionfree is probably you're best bet. From what I remember ( I used it like 5 years ago) it was easy to mod and customize.
