    Which one of these free forums (phpBB,SMF,myBB) is the best for SEO , I mean forum topics and posts get indexed faster than the other forums scripts

    I think forum softwares like Phpbb, SMF and others don't have to do anything with SEO. If you want to make your forums get index faster then you need to install some MODs yourself to make the URLs search engine friendly.

    I am telling you this because I did the same thing with my forum. When I installed phpbb the URLs were not user friendly, then I installed phpbb Seo and got indexed faster :)

    Sorry A.G. I have no idea about myBB and SMF SEO Mods.

    You can search for it on google or may be go to their forums and see if they have any SEO mod there.

    I think phpbb is easier to do SEO with, but it is not constructed under any SEO terms what so ever.

    My preferance would be for the phpBB platform but i am also warming towards the SMF for another project that i am working on.The reason i initially went with php is that you can import the data into the VB software so you dont have to start again once the forum starts to grow.

    I like MyBB... version 1.4 has SEO friendly links as standard, and there are plenty of plugins around for it too

    SMF is the best, with Phpbb you are going to gets lots of spam. when i used phpbb on my site i got like 200 of spam at day, now i get ZERO NADA after i change my site to SMF, plus with SMF is easy to add Mods from the Admin panel.

    Wrong, Spam doesn't have to do anything with forum software.

    Spam is a "Message/Post" Posted by "Real Humans" and humans can post on "Any" forum, no matter it is using SMF, PhpBB or even VB.
