Best free social networking script? (myspace software)

well I agree that the nationalism we see here is a bad thing.. look how many great developers are there in india for example.. they walk in dirt there but make great products..

As for me I have used literally all the scripts there are on the market, but i like emeeting and abk most. AND I know now that if you have had some experience already, GO CUSTOM!!! Or buy a script AND a programmer!!!

Buddypress is the best. It runs on WordpressMU (The Multi-User Version of Wordpress) and is 100% free. Other than that Joomla has JomSocial which is a little beefier and more feature-rich starting at $99. If you have some ability to code you can modify the Community Builder component for Joomla as well.

 

When i hear the word joomla i run as fast as i can Joomla is an anti-everythin-there-is-good-on-the-web and anti custom of course..

But it can be any other software script. Skadate, Boonex, PHPFox, whatever. But make your homework, imagine what you would like your site to lool like. And answer one simple quiestion: WHY THE USER WILL USE MY SITE AND NOT ALL THE REST?
