I wanted to make a post and ask the webmasters on this forum, to find out there apinion not to read a crapy site witch is traying to promote.

I need a webhosting provider which has :
    Good uptime
    Good prices
    Good in your opinion
    Big bandwitch (important)
    Nice amount of hosting space
    Pretty good transfer space

I am not to sure about hosting providers and no i dotn want any private providers and if the price was kept to a minimum that would be a good pluss

    1+ rep for good replies

I don't have a thorough response explaining why, but Bluehost.com is what you're looking for. I've had 3 packages with them over the last 2 years and they have yet to disappoint me.

If you are in the UK I would recommend machinenetworks.co.uk, theyve been quality since I started using them a while back, awesome support + they even sent me a christmas card! :)

If not in the UK then maybe hostgator.com. I have a 'baby' account with them for another site and had no problems at all with that. Good support as well.

There just my experiences, im sure there are many other great providers out there. Regards, Chris.

Bluehost is great, however an even better option (since they are basically the same company) is HostMonster.com. Simply the cheapest "high quality" shared hosting plan/company out there right now.

    50 Gigabytes of Hosting Space
    999 Gigs of Transfer
    Host UNLIMITED Domains!!
    Unlimited Pop/Imap Email Accounts
    SSH Access (Secure Shell)
    SSL, FTP, Stats
CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MYSQL
    4.95 a month.......

I have purchased more than 12 packages from Powweb since I began using their services four years ago. At first, there were a lot of issues of downtime and lousy customer service, but they have improved dramatically over the years. Recently, the company was bought out and they moved from Los Angeles to Boston.

Check out their current holiday promotional here: http://www.powweb.com/powweb/index.bml

I highly recommend Hostgator, LunarPages, and Elitehosts

I have accounts with all three and I can say the service is top notch!

I'd also warn to stay away from Dreamhost. I have a large plan there and while it is cheap, there are limitations on what scripts and PHP functions you can have running, and they also share way too many sites per IP.

dailyrazor.com is good for Tomcat hosting.

    HostGator is a good choice.
